Intro

I've been competing in Triathlons for almost 10 years now and while some other sports have come and gone, triathlon has remained a constant in my life since I was 7. My first ever triathlon was at the Calgary Kids of Steel in 2001 and like most first timers, I was pretty traumatized by the idea of swimming then biking then running consecutively; thats a lot to think about! But the race and the feeling of accomplishment afterwards totally made up for my nervousness leading up to it and has been bringing me back to triathlons ever since.
Although I've been triathloning for such a long time the idea of starting a blog only occurred to me yesterday. I've been reading other athletes' blogs for some time and thought it was finally time to get my own. I am currently entering my third year as a Junior Elite Triathlete and will be competing across Canada this summer in our Teck National Junior Series. I have been training and racing as a Junior for three years with Kronos Triathlon Club as well as running with UCAC Track team and occasionally swimming with the Patriots Swim Club.
I will try to keep this blog up to date with my most recent training and racing adventures.

Me yesterday...

...Me today

This year I've been working hard on improving my swim - my weakest of the three sports. Here are a couple of videos from practice this morning focusing on technique..
